Comments
More updates for the Green Bay Area (Reads #75) as of August 11, 2015:
Three new stations are now on the air:
WGBA-TV 26:
Laff TV went on air under the PSIP short name "LAFF TV"
WACY-TV 32:
Grit went on the air under the PSIP short name "GRIT TV"
Escape went on the air under the PSIP short name "Escape"
Channels 3 and 5 in Phoenix. Have you noticed how lame Meredith is? 3.3 is off the air with a slide showing and has been that way for more than a month. Last week they were running day old news on 3.2 and had forgotten to update it. 5.2 does not even say COZI on it and does not have the programs listed in the over the air guide access. This is one of the worst of the big TV station owners, they just don't care. Call the corporate headquarters and complain about the lousy programming and arrogant head of programming here.....The headquarters is in Des Moines, Iowa and the phone number is 515.284.3000. This arrogant jerk needs to go.
33.4 has been added to the lineup in Phoenix. Currently Bounce is appearing on both 45.3 and 33.4.
Channel 3.3 is still running its Sunday afternoon schedule of "E/I" kids shows, which makes me wonder if it's a technical issue or they're just burning off the one children's show they air that is under a year-long barter contract.
All full-power and Class A stations are required by their license to run at least 3 hours of E/I programming per week on every subchannel. Why Meredith is not running the Weather Now sub that used to be on 3.3 is a mystery, but as long as they have channel 3.3, they are required to run E/I on it.
@dhett
Airbox is offered to the public. go to www.airbox.com or visit a Radio Shack in Phoenix.
The TitanTV listings for KASW show that Decades might launch on 61.2. There is no official mention on the Decades website or Facebook page, and after a rescan, there is no 61.2...yet.
Just noticed ch. 8 educational/PBS KAET (Phoenix) has a new, empty channel 8.7. Wonder what's going to be there ?
Meredith, the owners of Channels 3 and 5 in Phoenix and operators of Channel 61, among 17 total stations, have been bought out by Media General. The combined company, which will be called Meredith Media General, will comprise 88 stations that reach 30% of U.S. households, or 34 million homes. The companies will swap or divest assets in six markets to address regulatory concerns. Together, Media General and Meredith will have a diverse network, with 29 of their stations affiliated with CBS, 15 with NBC, 14 with Fox, 13 with ABC and 11 with the CW. Media General is more friendly to picking up and using their sub channels. Hopefully they will fire the program director and the chief engineer here in Phoenix. Call and register complaints about these people at:

Although I read Decades channel is listed as airing on channel 49.2 in Phoenix, AZ I have reloaded the channels on both brands of our converter boxes and can not get that channel on either... is Decades on a different Phoenix channel?
Decades is rumored to launch on KASW 61.2. Its RF channel is 49, but the station does provide PSIP.
In Las Vegas, KPVT digital 27 has received their CP. They are owned by DNV Spectrum Holdings, the same owner as of KHMP-18. KPVT looks like their stick will be at 3479 feet up on Mt Potosi while KHMP's will be above Henderson. The coverage maps show quite different areas of coverage, leading me to wonder if they will simulcast each other and then provide a blanket of Vegas through the use of both transmitter sites for whatever networks they provide and share. KPVT would cover the West side, while KHMP would catch the East side. It's just speculation.
KTNV Las Vegas has told me that GRIT will launch on their station in January. But it will bump off Heores & Icons currently airing on their 13.3 sub-channel.
