- On December 19, 2025, the FCC adopted a rule change that required translator stations to only use a call sign consisting of the letter K or W, followed by the station's two-digit RF channel number, two or three additional letters to uniquely identify the station, plus the "-D" suffix. Translator stations were given an opportunity to convert their licenses from translator station to low power station and keep their call signs; those who declined and had call signs that did not comply with the new rules were automatically assigned compliant call signs. The following non-compliant translator stations viewable in Arizona received new compliant call signs:

LPTV and TV Translator Filing Opportunity
On March 19, 2026, the FCC opened a filing opportunity for new LPTV and TV Translator stations and for major changes by Class A, LPTV, and TV translator stations.
