New Licenses

  • KNXV-TV 15.x Phoenix (Scripps Broadcasting Holdings LLC) requested and has been granted a license to cover its construction permit to build auxiliary facilities. Technical specifications: Ch 15; TL 33° 20' 1" N, 112° 3' 47" W (South Mtn.); ERP 21 kW Max DA HP 0.75° EBT; HAAT 538 m / 1,764 ft.
  • KGRF-LD 29.x (21) Gila River Indian Co (Gila River Telecommunications Inc.) has further amended its request for license to cover its expired construction permit, providing additional documentation proving that the station came online at its requested facilities in April 2021, one month after the construction permit was granted, and has been operational since. The license request is under review. Technical specifications: Ch 21; TL 33° 22' 37" N, 112° 13' 34" W (Near 75th Ave. & Baseline Rd.); Peak ERP 15 kW DA HP 1.5° EBT; HAAT -19 m / -62 ft (33 m / 108 ft AGL).

Programming Changes

  • KTVW-DT 33.x Phoenix (KTVW License Partnership GP) has added channels 33.3 and 33.7 to its lineup, airing HSN and MovieSphereGold, respectively. The MovieSphere Gold website (moviespheregold.com) erroneously lists their network on channel 33.3.
  • KUVE-DT 46.x (34) Green Valley (Univision Tucson LLC) has added MovieSphere Gold to its lineup on channel 46.4, which had not been in the lineup before. Between May 4 and June 8, KUVE also added the BT2 infomercial network on channel 46.7, a change overlooked in the May/June update.

  • KNXV-TV 15.x Phoenix (Scripps Broadcasting Holdings LLC) requested and was granted a license to cover a move from a tower on which they were renting space, to a tower they own. The station has also increased power. Technical specifications: Ch 15; TL 33° 20' 3" N, 112° 3' 41" W (South Mountain); Peak ERP 550 kW DA EP 0.75° EBT; HAAT 544 m / 1,785 ft.
  • KVGA-LD 12.x Las Vegas NV (Digital Networks-Southwest LLC) has been granted a license to cover its construction permit to move to Black Mountain. The request for license was filed in September 2022. Technical specifications: Ch 12; TL 36° 0' 34" N, 115° 0' 23" W (Black Mtn.); ERP 3 kW (HP); HAAT 304 m (997 ft).

The photo shows our memorial to Oskar, in the prime location in the center of the mantle. It's a wonderful picture of him. I'm still really sad walking by it, but my wife is already doing moderately better, I think, so I hope I will be doing better soon too.

  • KGRF-LD 29.1 (21) Gila River Indian Co (Gila River Telecommunications Inc.) amended its request for license to cover its expired construction permit, adding affidavits witnessing that the station came online at its requested facilities in April 2021, one month after the construction permit was granted.
  • KUWB-LD 30.x (22) Bloomington UT (Nexstar Media Inc.) has requested a reinstatement of its October 2018 construction permit that was built, but never licensed, and has also requested a license to cover the permit. Technical specifications: Ch 22; TL 37° 3' 49" N, 113° 34' 26" W (Webb Hill); Peak ERP 0.2 kW DA HP 1.25° EBT; HAAT 69 m / 225 ft.

  • KGRF-LD 19.x Gila River Indian Community (Gila River Telecommunications Inc.) has requested a license to cover its displacement construction permit, which was granted in March 2021. The station began operating on its new frequency almost immediately, but failed to file for a license to cover. Technical specifications: Ch 21; TL 33° 22' 37" N, 112° 13' 34" W (Near 75th Ave. & Baseline Rd.); Peak ERP 15 kW DA HP 1.5° EBT; HAAT -19 m / -62 ft (33 m / 108 ft AGL).
  • K26PX-D Yuma (Jose Rivera Miramontes), formerly K27PC-D, requested and was granted a license to cover its displacement construction permit. Technical specifications: Ch 26; TL 32° 40' 21" N, 114° 20' 10" W (Telegraph Pass); Peak ERP 1.8 kW DA HP; HAAT 355 m / 1,164 ft.

  • KPPX-TV 51.x (31) Tolleson (Inyo Broadcast Licenses LLC) has replaced Laff on channel 51.4 with BUSTED, a new OTA digital network from Free TV Networks, and has replaced Get TV on channel 51.7 with Game Show Central, a new OTA digital network from Game Show Network.

  • KDVD-LD 50.x Globe (Globe LPTV LLC) has replaced ShopHQ on channel 50.3 with TeleVida Abundante.

Network Changes

  • Free TV Networks (FTN) is planning to launch a fourth TV network on March 1, joining Outlaw, 365BLK and DEFY, according to a press release (https://freetvnetworks.com/press-releases). BUSTED plans to show high-adrenaline, crime-focused programming designed to appeal to men. Gray Media has been an OTA partner of FTN, but FTN also plans to partner with Scripps, Nexstar Media Group and HC2 Broadcasting to roll out this new network.

  • K06QW-D Sentinel (Quad Marketing Group LLC) requested and has been granted a license to cover its relocatiom from Gila Bend to a tower near Mobile. The station does not appear to be on the air. Technical specifications: Ch 6; TL 33° 3' 31" N, 112° 13' 54" W (8000 block W Kinney Rd near Mobile); ERP 1.3 kW DA HP; HAAT -8 m / 26 ft (AGL 12 m / 40 ft).
