I'm so proud of my Marky Mark!! Congratulations!! <3<3<3
It really makes sense as the best selling point for over-the-air TV broadcast is that it's "free".
Nice article. Thanks for the link.
More people will be introduced to OTA.
Things like this help strengthen all broadcasters and remind people there are alternatives to cable and satellite.
Thanks for your great comments about over-the-air TV. Having your perspective in the Times story really strengthens the argument for a return to broadcast, and shows how many can have expanded access to CUNY TV's content. At the station we appreciate your support.
Good going, Trip! Quoted in the Times!
Unfortunately, they're still clueless about OTA:
"Digital transmission let stations like WNYE-TV broadcast more than one signal over the air at once (though the second and third signals — like CUNY TV’s, on Channel 25.3 — can be seen only on sets new enough to receive digital signals, or on older sets with converters)."
The second and third signals are no different than the first signal, on 25.1, which also can be seen only on sets new enough to receive digital signals, or on older sets with converters. =)
Great job on being quoted in the New York Times! I'd like to know how you got the call from the paper. Did a reporter know of your website? Did some TV insider refer the Times to you? Do tell.
He found the website in his research for the story and then contacted me through the website.
