Air TV Floats In

Off and on for several months, people have been observing Nagravision-encrypted subchannels labeled "AirTV" popping up on ION stations for a few hours at a time. It now looks as though the service has launched on several stations, seen on this page.

To see the list of subchannels included, I refer you to dhett's post on Radio-Info.

Informative discussion threads can be found at AVS Forum and the WTFDA Forum.

Click "Continue Reading" to see the two snapshots I have taken of the barker channel.

Here in Yakima, Wa. (channel 51.1 thru 51.5) K51JG-D has been broadcasting again since August but still shows "off air" on the market listing. Also how do I find out when K17KI-D, K26JS-D,and K28KX-D will begin broadcasting here? We need more variety of channels and would love ME-TV or Antenna TV. I have e-mailed these companies and also our local stations to try to get them added. Hope your moving experience is going well ! Thanks again

BTW, that PPV UFC fight was shown live and unencrypted on ABX 100 last Saturday night. They still have a few bugs to work out, but the H.264 format seems to work pretty well, even with that many subs and about 1.14 Mbps devoted to ch x.100. Yeah, it was only 480i, but not bad.
