K41IO-41 Las Vegas is still airing. When they do drop, it's usually only for a few hours, and then restored.

Last week, K38IZ-D in Phoenix began having picture problems and pixeling. They were off the air then on again. The sound would go from stereo to mono and back again as well. As of Tuesday6/17/15 they have been off the air.

Strange. I never observed problems with K38IZ-D. Last night, we did lose Mako Communications stations KTVP-LD and K18JL-D. KTVP is back, but K18JL-D remains MIA.

K38IZ-D.......they were back on the next day. It seems this happens only late night so maybe they are working on the transmitter. The picture on 38.5 This, has improved as well as on 38.3. It seems much sharper now.

Anybody in Phoenix know why KDTP-LP 48 analog has returned to the air? Their digital signal is gone and the analog signal has been back on the air for some time now.

I believe it's just Daystar trying to keep two licenses active while they search for a channel on which to build KDTP-LD. Analog KDPH-LP operated on RF ch. 48 while analog KDTP-LP was on RF ch. 58. Since no channel over 51 can be used for TV, KDTP-LP either had to move somewhere in-core or shut down altogether. The FCC authorized taking KDPH-LP silent and moving KDTP-LP to channel 48 on a temporary basis. Since the stations were running the same programming, nothing really changed; it was just a clerical distinction. However, recently, they began displaying a KDTP bug on the analog station only. It's been over 3 years since they applied to build a 3 kW digital companion station on channel 11 using a full-service emission mask, but they've been unable to secure Mexican coordination so far - not exactly a rare occurrence. Further complicating things is that KSAZ ch. 10 and KPNX ch. 12 have expressed concern about interference.
