Upcoming Roadtrip and Vacation

Beginning Thursday, September 19 and lasting until Tuesday, September 24, I will be on a road trip with my girlfriend. As you might expect, this will lead to delays in returning e-mail and updating the website, but will also allow me to collect many updates for RabbitEars. I will be attempting data collections on the following stations, though I do not expect to actually receive all of them.

Stations marked with a * will be tried at multiple locations. After the first time it is received, it will not be looked for again.

Stations in bold are stations for which data was collected, though not necessarily at the location noted.
Stations in italics are stations that were not received. I did not observe them.
Stations or locations that are struck through were skipped.
Stations that are underlined were observed but not strong enough for data collection.

As you can see, my goal is to get every digital station in Indiana except the ones in Chicago. I intend to get close (but no cigar) with regard to West Virginia, though if you include data from my friend Jim earlier in the summer, then I'd have all but one, I think. I'm also trying to fill in some holes in my data.

This trip sounds kinda like the most epic thing a DTV geek/enthusiast could possibly do!!

Do you have a twitter so we can follow the adventure?

Any chance of checking out WTOL 11 and WTVG 13 in Toledo? and depending on where you are in the Glass City, you might even be able to pick up the Cleveland, Detroit and Windsor stations, too...

Richard: Day one was fun! I marked up the list last night to show what the outcome of day one was.

Fox: Stop 14 is my first stop today and will be at the intersection of US-30 and US-68. Not really close to Toledo, but my maps suggested it had the best chance of seeing them without getting any closer, and it will be morning so best chance of atmospheric help. Toledo wasn't really on the way and we have two time-specific activities planned for today, so I couldn't make my way up there. We'll see if I get them or not.

In the meantime, I've sent you the full complement of Mexicali stations. All 7 are now online with great signals from each. Mexicali is ready for analog shutoff, with analog channel 66 already gone.

Wow!! All done!!! NICE!!

I searched for WAZW-LD 46 after seeing it listed above-- I find that one interesting! Viewers are reporting that when it goes off the air, they get WBFF in loud and clear!

You were busy! Now we just need a map of what's missing to fill those gaps! Sorry I wasn't able to take a tuner with me to Europe - Once I had the car in Germany, I was literally all over the place (hitting 9 different countries during the trip...).
